The Elite Rugby League Ball System: Every Try, Tackle, and Pass Counts Towards Your Victory

Welcome to the Ball System of Elite Rugby League! This is where the action truly comes to life, and every move on the field counts towards your fantasy rugby success. Understanding the Ball System is essential to mastering your fantasy team, as it’s how we calculate the points based on real-world player performance.

In Elite Rugby League, every try, tackle, assist, and even missed tackle can have a direct impact on your fantasy rugby score. Below is the breakdown of how we award (and subtract) points for player actions. The more you know about the Ball System, the better you’ll be at managing your team and making strategic decisions to stay at the top of the leaderboard.

How Points Are Earned:

  • Tries Scored: 10 points
When your player scores a try, you earn 10 points. This is one of the highest-scoring actions and essential for building a strong fantasy team.
  • Conversions Kicked: 5 points
Every successful conversion kick following a try earns 5 points for your fantasy team.
  • Penalties Kicked: 3 points
Players who successfully kick penalties get 3 points each time. These kicks can make a huge difference in close matches!
  • Tackles Made: 1 point per tackle
A successful tackle is worth 1 point, so make sure to include strong defensive players in your team.
  • Assists: 4 points
If a player assists in setting up a try, they earn 4 points for their involvement in the play.
  • Line Breaks: 6 points
A line break is a crucial attacking move, and it earns 6 points for your fantasy team when a player breaks through the opposition’s defense.
  • Metres Gained (per 100 meters): 1 point
Every 100 meters a player runs with the ball earns 1 point. Players who gain big yards with every carry will contribute significant points.
  • Try Savers (Defensive Actions): 7 points
Preventing a try is just as important as scoring one! Players who make game-changing defensive plays are awarded 7 points for a try-saving tackle.
  • Clean Breaks: 5 points
Players who break through the defense with ease earn 5 points. A clean break can open up the game and give your team an advantage.
  • Offloads: 3 points
Every offload that leads to continued play and keeps the attack alive earns 3 points for your team.

How Points Are Subtracted:

  • Yellow Card: -3 points
When a player receives a yellow card, they’re temporarily off the field, and you lose 3 points as a result.
  • Red Card: -8 points
A red card sends a player off for the remainder of the game, costing you a significant 8 points.
  • Turnovers Conceded: -1 point per turnover
A player who loses possession to the opposition is penalized with a -1 point deduction for each turnover.
  • Missed Tackles: -1 point per missed tackle
Defensive lapses cost you points. If a player misses a tackle, you lose 1 point.
  • Dropped Balls: -2 points
Handling errors, such as dropped passes, result in a 2-point penalty.

The key to success in Elite Rugby League is balance. A strong attack combined with solid defense will earn your team maximum points. Be strategic in your selections, and always keep an eye on player performances!
